Three children transported after hit and run crash- MEMPHIS NEWS!

MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - Three children, including two toddlers, were transported to LeBonheur Children's Hospital after a hit and run crash in Hickory Hill Thursday night.

Three children were transported, including a pair of 3-year-old children in critical condition.

An adult was also transported to the MED in non-critical condition.

Witness Christopher Woods barely avoided the crash.

"As I got closer, I could see the debris in the street and I swerved," said Woods. "I could see the lady screaming and her kids in the car. I could hear them crying."

The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. Thursday along Holmes Road between Crumpler and Hickory Hill.

Woods said the drive was frantic.

"She just kept saying, 'somebody hit me and kept going,'" said Woods.

Memphis police said two other cars involved in the crash left the scene.

"I think that's ridiculous, especially knowing you caused a bad accident," said Woods. "Why keep going? Especially if you hurt somebody, in this case kids."

The two vehicles responsible for the crash are a burgundy 2002 Chevy Impala with a flat right front tire and a primer gray 2000 Buick Regal with front end damage.

If you have any information about the hit and run, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
