1. Spring to Art Camp!

Spend your Spring Break with the Dixon! This year’s camp will be focusing on the Golden Ages of-well-EVERYTHING. Each day we will have an activity exploring new media in different “Golden Times” throughout history. Snacks, materials and plenty of play time outdoors provided daily.

2. Spring Break Camp
Location: Memphis Botanical Gardens

Ages 5-12 (will be divided into two age groups).

Bring the kids to the Garden to spend the day enjoying garden games, outdoor explorations, hands-on craft activities and more!





Activities will vary, so choose individual dates or join us for all five!

Wednesday: Flower Power

Thursday: Creepy Crawlies

Friday: Garden Goodies




Members $25 per day/non-members $30 per day, includes lunch.

3. Greater Memphis Chess Center
March 12th-16th — Spring Break Camp Five-day camp from 8:00 – 5:00.
Location: 5796 Shelby Oaks Suite 11
grades K+
Students do not have to know how to play chess. Students should bring lunch and two snacks. Before care is available at 8am, ending at 6pm. $25/day, $80 for the week, before/after care extra. On-site registration from 8-8:45, reserve your spot by emailing Mark Beatty.

4. Kids-N-Technology Spring Break Camp
All programs have highly-trained instructors to teach today's hottest technologies. Through creative play and hands-on instruction, campers learn core technology, math, science and engeineering skills!
CLASSES COST: (snacks will be provided)
Only $45 per week per child or $10 per day

Week 1: Web Design... Create your own website
(Mon-Fri, Mar. 15th - Mar. 19th, 9am-1pm)
Campers create their own website and learn color theory, creative text effects and how to design customized graphics. Kids learn how to make their website POP with dynamic animations created with Flash. From a basic webpage to an innovative, artistic site with interactive functions— allows campers to publish their vision online for the world to see.

Week 2: Movie Making
(Mon-Fri, Mar. 28th - Apr. 5th, 9am-1pm)
Campers develop an awareness of the creative and social impact of film through a myriad of large and small group projects. Campers will learn about various genres of film, and will participate in the process of turning an idea into a final product through the use of storyboarding,
screenwriting, filming, and editing techniques. Based on personal interests, students will actively design and create their own film projects, which may range from comedy flicks to short documentaries.



5.  Spring Break Hoops Camp
The Memphis Grizzlies are teaming up with Horn Lake Parks and Recreation to host a basketball clinic for girls and boys ages 6 - 14, of all skill levels and experience who want to learn more about the game of basketball. Campers will practice fundamentals that will help them become better, smarter players, while learnng the importance of discipline.
The Grizzlies will host their Annual Spring Break Hoops Camp March 15-19 at Horn Lake Middle School from 9am until Noon. Campers will receive tickets, a camp t-shirt and other Grizzlies prizes. Space is limited so register today.

6. Spring Break Camp at the Zoo
March 12-16, 2012
9 a.m.. to 2 p.m.
$35/members per day; $45/nonmembers per day
Aftercare 2:00 to 5:30 P.M.; $20 per day
*LATE REGISTRATION FEE: Reservations made after March 6 will incur a $10 late registration fee per child per program.
(PreK/K students must be 4 years of age by the program date.)PreK-K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-5th

Mother Nature’s Justice League

Faster than a speeding bullet, More powerful than a locomotive train, Strength FIVE times greater than steel, can hear a mouse move from 500 feet away, and withstand temperatures reaching down to minus 60*C. 7. Holiday Camp
Locations: Cordova, Schilling Farms, & Ric Nuber YMCA
$25 per day
Ages 5 - 12
7am-6pm at the Ric Nuber YMCA
Pack their lunch, swim suit, and towel, your child will enoy a fun filled day at the YMCA!
The Ric Nuber YMCA follows Shelby County Schools schedule for Holiday Camp.
